Transmission Fault Generator

Verify possible problems in advance by simulating failures

EoM TFG

Essential for Testing and Verifying Broadcast IP Networks

This simulator allows users to generate problematic delays and other failures as intended, and to improve quality through prior evaluation of the system in IP broadcast networks.

Verify System Operation and Improve Device Quality

In broadcast IP networks, where there are high requirements such as highly accurate synchronization between devices, it is very important to perform as much verification as can be predicted before system operation or before product distribution to guarantee the quality of the system and products. Insufficient testing can lead to serious problems.

This simulator enables the execution of anomaly system testing from the IP stream perspective, which is difficult to reproduce.

Reason

Features

100Gbpsの通信速度に対応

Supports 100Gbps communication speed

Users can conduct verification on the assumption of actual programs of major broadcasters, which transmit video and audio data at high speed.

 柔軟なシミュレーションが実施可能.

Flexible Simulation

Various combinations of failure patterns and arbitrary schedules can be created to generate simulated packet failures to meet customer needs.

リアルタイムのパケット編集

Real-time packet editing

In addition to the current packet header item processing, a packet header editing function will be added and implemented to be applicable to various communication data. It will be customizable to fit the customer's environment.

Simulation Patterns

Drop methods
  Packet Drop()

Percentage of drops generated, specified in %

  Packet Drop(1/N)

Specify whether one drop is generated every N times by number of drops

Packet Drop(Burst) Specify the burst drop range and the number of burst drop packets
Change packet information to any form
Packet Reorder Reverse the order of arriving packets
Packet Edit Edit the value of the header of the received packet
  Items that can be edited

Source MAC Address, Destination MAC Address, VLAN ID, Ethernet Frame Types, Source IP Address, Destination IP Address, TTL, Service Type(ToS), IP Header Checksum, Source Port Number, Destination Port Number, UDP Checksum, RTP Version, RTP Payload Type, RTP SSRC and RTP CSRC

Delay on specified IP flows
  Delay Delay time in microseconds
  Jitter Specify jitter in microseconds
  Bandlimited Specify bandwidth in bps
Cut-Off Discard all packets that arrive
