Intelligent Wave specializes in network connection, authorization and other processing systems for credit card payments. Intelligent Wave boasts a broad range of client companies ranging from banks, distribution and credit company related cards to overseas banks, post offices, e-commerce firms and consumer finance firms. Intelligent Wave commands about a 70% share of the domestic online credit card systems market among major credit card providers.

Intelligent Wave also took the lead in applying its expertise to e-business payment services for e-commerce sites on the Internet and for bank debit cards. Today this segment comprises 40% of total sales. There are only a few firms worldwide that are similar to Intelligent Wave － one in the U.S. and one in Canada. It is a niche market with only a few players globally.
One of the advantages inherent in Intelligent Wave is our expertise in handling the detailed specifications unique to Japan, specifications that make it difficult for foreign companies to even compete. Another advantage is our “vertical” business model, which enables Intelligent Wave to integrate hardware and software for the client and provide customized services according to user specifications.
Retail banking online systems
This division is constructing a system that uses the NET+1 product developed by Intelligent Wave, a basic software package for establishing network connections and controlling transaction text messages. This division sells ongoing development services, system maintenance, NET+1 suites to our existing client base of credit card providers.This division also sells hardware to new clients.

■NET+1
NET+1 was developed by Intelligent Wave in 1989 as a software product for uninterrupted 24/7 operations. Intelligent Wave developed it into a product suite for credit card companies and this increased industry awareness of Intelligent Wave as the company that sold this product suite.
Intelligent Wave developed various add-on options for NET+1 that allowed the suite to be successfully employed by credit card companies in their online credit authorization operations. Presently NET+1 enjoys a 70% share among major credit card companies as a product sold in Japan supporting both credit and debit card functions, and enables connection to both domestic and overseas networks.
Intelligent Wave has a lineup of various optional packages, including packages with various options for domestic networks based on the NET+1 BASE (basic system) suite and packages of various connection options for automated equipment such as ATM/CD, POS registers, CAT, etc., allowing clients to choose the exact product they need.
■HSM [Hardware Security Module]
Intelligent Wave serves as the sales and the support agent for SafeNet,Inc. ProtectHost Electronic Funds Transfer(PH EFT).
SafeNet,Inc. PH EFT is a hardware security module (HSM) that specializes in the electronic account settlement for financial institutions.

System solutions

This division provides services to modify trading and dealing systems, develop additional functions for the systems and provide system maintenance for our existing client base of securities companies and trust banks. This division also sells the network connection suite for credit payments known as FEXICS.
In addition, this division provides system upgrades and maintenance, ASP services, sales of related hardware and other outsourced development for existing clients such as ACE Plus, a system for detecting fraudulent use of cards.

■ACE Plus
ACE Plus is a high precision rule-based fraudulent card use detection system that aims to minimize damage from the fraudulent use of credit cards. ACE Plus is a proprietary product of Intelligent Wave.
■FEXICS
FEXICS is a credit settlement network connection package gateway developed by Intelligent Wave. This product is used by real and virtual store merchants to obtain authorization from card companies for credit and debit card sales. FEXICS is compatible with TCP/IP connection versions of credit settlement centers in Japan for connections with card companies. It is also compatible with IC credit card data-relay functions and this function is presently in operation at clients that have adopted this package.

Security systems
This division sells CWAT, a system for combating in-house data extrusion by monitoring both network and terminal operations as well as conducting centralized monitoring and control. This division also offers the download sale of Virus Chaser, an anti-virus software that uses a virus detection software engine combined with a management function developed by our South Korean affiliate.
■CWAT
Intelligent Wave's CWAT not only monitors network information, but also has the capability to monitor the use of mobile PCs taken off the premises, the writing of information to floppy discs and compact discs of client PCs, and direct connections with unregistered terminals via external access busses. Furthermore, it can also monitor behavior that violates operator policies and behavior that is conspicuously different from ordinary behavior.
The new technologies provided by CWAT includes: a real time monitoring of internal data extrusion and internal crimes both on the network and on IT equipment, and automatically shuts down the system; centralized monitoring mechanism; function for supporting manual defense steps by the system administrator; preventive anti-crime monitoring using the monitoring log obtained from the system; investigations after problems occur; and support for problem analysis and other new functions (refer to tables below).
■VirusChaser
Anti-virus software that uses the search engine of Doctor Web Ltd. company that the Russian government also adopts. VirusChaser is an application developed byNew Technology Wave Inc.(related companies of our company in South Korea).
